On August 24th Damon Harmon traveled to Greensboro, NC to race Quarter Toy III
in the ECPRA Pro Stock event at Piedmont Dragway. Damon was the number
three qualifier for the day at 6.20. In round one of eliminations Damon
drew a bye. In round two he ran against Warren Skaggs of Winfield,
WV. Damon pulled a 6.171 against Warren's 6.278 to advance to the
finals. Advancing from the other side of the ladder was once again Denis
Elliot from Conyers, GA. Number one and number two in the points race
facing off in the finals. Denis left it all on the track, running a 6.174
at 110.74 MPH against Damon's time of 6.278 at 112.02 MPH. But Damon
proved that he was a force to be reckoned with by turning in a reaction time of
.003 seconds which was enough to bring home the win. Damon is once again
the leader in the ECPRA points standings, and will be tough to beat in the
finals.
